You all know it is good to start a meeting with an ice-break putting a customer and ourselves at ease. How long it takes may differ by cultures.
“I don’t take risk” people are saying to hide their unwillingness to accept very strict rules of a game
Some people say “to risk means to make stupid mistakes”. Others say “who doesn’t take any risk doesn’t get anywhere”.
Do You remember Your last experience when You’ve been disappointed during Your purchase? Your expectation was not fulfilled.
My favourite quote from G.B.Shaw says:
“ Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
Technology changes today’s world, our lives and sales, too. Very soon there will be no need to use a sales guy to find out how many cokes does a fuel station need to order. This position won’t be even called with a word “sales” and will be done by drone or an app.
Friday’s results confession hangs in many team’s schedules. I used to attend and organize thesemyself, too. During those years I observed repeating symptoms:
Sales guys get nervous before such meeting. Managers feel horrified about who will be late for their meeting..
“I'm sorry, that's my boss.. I have to answer this one…” Really? Is your boss so insane that he'd kill you when you will call back a bit later? I guess not!
Look at the picture. This is exactly how a potential customer, Your colleague, friend or anybody expecting You feels when You are not there on time.
To realize that one has an overweight is no rocket science. There is no need for an expensive diagnostics or examination. One look into a mirror says it all..
When a company stops using 5 different formats of power point presentation to show very same information again and again or fulfilling 6 different reports instead of one…that is a miracle. Better results, easier life.
I consider social media unimportant for a personal life. I use them just for business, marketing and as a medium. Daniel Priestley calls them megafon that allows you to be heard. Petr Andrysek motivates when saying: "So many people how something to say but they are never heard".
